The rapid growth of medical tourism in Mexico is providing excellent side benefits for those of us who
live at Lake Chapala. I became interested in how this industry is growing in our area and improving
conditions after I read a September 2009 Guadalajara Reporter article written by Julie Shattock.
Here are some of Julie's comments from that article; the facts and statistics that caught my attention and
whetted my interest enough to send me searching for more information to share with you.
"The rising cost of health care in the United State is forcing an increasing number of US
citizens to turn their sights on Mexico for expert and cost-effective attention."
