Racquet Club Search and Rescue Effort

11:30 p.m. Thursday

We have a group of concerned individuals coordinating a search and rescue into The Raquet Club this Saturday. Disaster relief organizations such as The Mexican Army and the Catastre Division currently overseeing the relief effort in San Juan Cosala are cooperating in this task.

The details are not yet final. Through a number of agencies, we are circulating this questionnaire to assist in the process. There are many people who have not been heard from who live in the Raquet Club which has been hit hard.

Most of the current relief effort has been conducted in the village of San Juan Cosala which is now in fair recovery condition, but the roads up into Raquet Club are still mostly impassable. We have no accurate information as to the state of residents there.

We plan on attempting to contact people including those who have not been heard of, and finding out what supplies...water, food, medical aid and other essential services they and others might be in need of and to start a network within the Raquet Club of communication to assist them in their dealing with the catastrophe.

Please fill in the enclosed questionnaire and return it to peterjohnpalmer@hotmail.com

If you are in sound physical condition and wish to assist us in going to The Raquet Club to aid in this search please offer you support. We will be meeting on Saturday morning at 10:00 am. Dress with head protection against the hot sun. Please email to advise of your intended participation and to find out where to meet.

Count on the fact that we will be doing a lot of walking and knocking door to door to accomplish this.

Thanks again for your help.
Peter Palmer

THE QUESTIONNAIRE...

1. Do you know of any specific individual in The Raquet Club that you are concerned about because you have not heard from them? Please state their name, address, telephone number and email address.

2. Do you know of the address of any specific house where the owners are not in residence? (i.e. currently out of the country?) This will help narrow the search. Please state the address of the property. Note that this information will be absolutely private.

3. Do you know of anyone in the Raquet Club that you are currently in contact with? If so please provide their contact information...Phone...email address and house address. This will help us find out what we can before we arrive. If you know more than one contact, please provide a list.

4. Do you know of any specific individuals in the Raquet Club who need medical assistance? Food? Water?

5. Do you know of any specific individuals that require a place to stay
until they can return to their home in the Raquet Club? There are many
individuals who have currently offered a room or casita in their house to
offer shelter.

Your help in this is greatly appreciated...Please forward this questionnaire
to anyone you think may know additional information and then return to peterjohnpalmer@hotmail.com.
