What means RAM OC?

random access memory
Overclocking is often thought of in the context of a CPU or GPU, but you can also overclock RAM (random access memory) to achieve faster speeds. The speed of RAM, measured in MHz, refers to its data transfer rate. The faster the data transfer rate, the better the RAM’s performance.

Does OC affect RAM?

Honorable. No it cant. You can damage ram usually by overvoltage, which is not the case. Those cpu tems are safe.

Can DDR3 RAM OC?

The stock voltage with DDR3 is 1.5 volts. Most overclocking memory requires a 1.65 voltage and in reality there’s no reason to go above 1.85 volts, while for general use 1.7 volts is a safe maximum.

Is Mushkin a good ram brand?

Yes it is good RAM.

Are Mushkin SSDs any good?

If you’re in the market for a cheap SSD upgrade, then the Mushkin Source 500GB is a decent bit of hardware to check out. It might perform marginally slower than some similar SSDs, but its affordable price point makes it a cheap upgrade for almost any scenario.

What does 2400 mean on RAM?

RAM frequency is measured in MHz and usually immediately follows the DDR version in the RAM spec. For example, 8GB DDR4-2400 RAM is running at a frequency of 2400MHz. Frequencies of RAM typically range from 800MHz in older DDR2 modules up to 4200MHz in DDR4. Current gen DDR4 modules start at 2133MHz.

What happens if you OC RAM too much?

Overclocking RAM can result in higher memory speeds and better performance from your PC. Here’s how you do it. Overclocking RAM can result in higher memory speeds and better performance from your PC.

Is XMP harmful?

XMP is safe. Enable it. Performance will be impacted.

Can I overclock my 1333 RAM to 1600?

blazorthon : It should be fine, I also have overclocked 1333MHz memory in my system and it runs stable. If it becomes a problem you can come back here and request help on setting the RAM back to 1333MHz.

Can I overclock my 1600 RAM?

Of course you can overclock your RAM but you typically end up having to sacrifice latency which probably has more of an impact on the performance than the actual frequency. IMHO you don’t get a noticeable difference in system performance from overclocking your RAM but you definitely can affect your system’s stability.
