Should I kill Cicero or leave the sanctuary?

What happens if you lie to Astrid about Cicero?

Cicero is found lying on the ground injured. It should be noted that if Cicero is spared in this quest he will become an available follower for the Dragonborn. If he is killed, his body can be looted for his outfit (the Jester’s Outfit on the table at the entrance is less powerful), some gold and a leveled dagger.

How do you get Cicero?

Cicero is a so-called Jester located just outside of Loreius Farm on the road beside a broken horse drawn carriage. If you talk to him, he offers you the quest Delayed Burial and tells you to go convince Vantus Loreius to help fix his wagon.

Should I report Cicero?

If you report him the guard will arrest him and the farmer will give you a small reward, but sometime later the farmer and his wife will be viciously murdered by an ‘unknown’ assailant. Reporting him doesn’t change the Dark Brotherhood questline, he’ll just be a bit angry at you when he first arrives at the sanctuary.

Can you get Cicero’s armor without killing him?

Cicero is an essential character and cannot be killed or pickpocketed. The outfit can be obtained at this time by simply killing him, or by pickpocketing with the Perfect Touch perk.

Does killing Cicero make a difference?

Killing Cicero grants you access to his unique outfit and benefits, but loses on a pretty unique follower. He’s the ideal stealth follower, and cares not for crimes. He can be quite amusing to those who liked the Annoying Fan from Oblivion.
